office hours
are awesome. Thank you, Erik, for instituting possibly one of the greatest random Wednesday night excuses for drinking/chatting/etc. ever. I appreciate it more than I can say, not only because it finally knocked out my 24-hour headache. Which part of office hours knocked out my headache? I cannot say, but I can say that I do not care.

Perhaps I had other things to say, but they have all dropped by the wayside because hello I have to be up in just over six hours in order to go to class. Please, self, do not deny it...

morning postscript: I will deny it all I want, I think. Today is a great day not to go to class, because ow, my head -- and really, what would I get out of class besides an hour of frustration and nearly two hours of not being home? Nothing, that's what.

Office hours are where you go, ostensibly, to get [info]busterbenson's advice on a situation in your life. Generally the advice is to drink more, but the office hours drinking-place is a lovely place to do that.

Although I will say that that headache came back with a vengeance, and now I don't know if it's mysterious or idiotic-behavior-induced. I have taken my first drug-drug in months; we'll see what happens now (I am generally fairly anti-drug, but I once tried to explain this to my mother while under the effects of a splitting hangover, and she said something to the effect of "let me get this straight -- you drank enough to be hung over, but you don't want to take an ibuprofen because it'll poison your body?" I shut up and took it).

That's a wonderful idea. People usually just catch me on MSN for such things, but holding such talks in a place with drinks is great.

And your mother has a point. But mothers always do.
